privacy policy.

This site (yashrajjain.in) is operated by Yashraj Jain — an independent software engineer based in Bangalore, India. There is no team, no agency, no parent company. When the policy says 'I' or 'me', it means me — Yashraj.

Inquiries. When you email me, book a Calendly slot, or message on WhatsApp, I receive whatever you choose to share (name, email, company, project details). I use it only to reply and scope the engagement.

Cost calculator. The five inputs you select are processed in your browser and only leave the page if you choose to send the pre-filled brief to me via WhatsApp or email.

Google Analytics (GA4). With your consent (see the cookie banner), the site uses GA4 to count page views, measure which posts and services people find useful, and track anonymised conversion events (e.g. Calendly clicks). GA4 may set first-party cookies. You can decline analytics via the banner.

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. These run regardless of the banner choice. They are cookie-less, aggregate page views and Core Web Vitals, and do not build individual user profiles or sell data.

Logs. My hosting provider (Vercel) records standard request logs (IP, user agent, response code) for security and reliability. Those logs are retained for a short period and not used for marketing.

No advertising cookies. No retargeting pixels. No fingerprinting. No precise location data beyond the country-level signal analytics providers use for routing.

I do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising — ever.

Inquiries I have engaged with are kept until the engagement is complete plus 24 months for tax, contract, and reference purposes. Inquiries that go nowhere are deleted within 12 months.

GA4 data is retained according to Google's policy (default 14 months, configurable in the GA4 property). Vercel Analytics data is retained according to Vercel's policy (currently 1 month at the highest resolution).

You can ask me at any time to: confirm what data I hold about you, export a copy, correct it, delete it, or restrict its processing. I respond within 30 days. Most requests are handled within 72 hours.

If you are based in the EU, UK, or California you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively — including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies to distinguish sessions. If you decline, those cookies are not set.

Vercel may set essential cookies for security (e.g., DDoS protection). These do not require consent under GDPR.

You can change your analytics preference at any time by clearing site data in your browser and revisiting — the banner will appear again.

This site is not aimed at children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided me with personal information, email me and I will delete it.

If I make material changes to this policy, the effective date at the top will change and — for active clients — I will email a heads-up. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
